We are called to worship God in unity

“The kingdoms of this world have become the kingdoms of our Lord and of his Christ, and he will reign for ever and ever. And the twenty-four elders … fell on their faces and worshiped God” (Revelation 11:15-16).
These verses spell out our eternal destiny. We are called to worship Him, and we are called to rule with Him.
Some time ago, I experienced the dynamic rule of God’s kingdom in Manaus, Brazil, a modern city of nearly two million people in the heart of the Amazon Jungle. They are experiencing a move of God. Believers representing the Presbyterians, the Assemblies of God, the Baptists, the Pentecostals, the Methodists and a host other church families have come together in unity in their city. Some of these churches are megachurches while others are churches of a few hundred or a few dozen. It really does not matter to them. Their major concern is the kingdom of God, not just their own church. One time they baptized 10,000 new believers at one time in the Negros River!
When I worshiped with the Presbyterians in Manaus, I felt like I was with Pentecostals, experiencing the presence and the power of God. One particular Presbyterian church of a few thousand has helped to start over 100 other churches in their city. Many churches in this city are experiencing this modern day move of the Spirit, as an estimated 80% of the believers in the city are united as one.
The believers told me about their school that trained Christians to serve effectively in areas of government, taking the rule of God into the political system. The scriptures exhort us that we will reign with Him (Revelation 5:10). They are committed to training for reigning.
