“This is the darkest period the church in Haiti has ever gone through. People are struggling to hold onto hope,” Pastor Gesner recently said.
Our DOVE churches in Haiti are facing severe hardships. Gangs have forced many from their homes and schools. Many are living in a constant state of fear. Rising inflation has also made it difficult to buy food and supplies.
PLEASE PRAY FOR:
- God’s provision for the churches and schools
- protection from gang violence
- righteous leadership to rise up in Haiti.

To hate is easy. To disregard and abandon is natural. But to love, to forgive, to have hope for a lost soul-that is supernatural
My father hated my new life direction. Late one evening he barged into my room and screamed, “I’d rather have you on drugs than believing this Jesus nonsense.” He said this at around the same time I was reading in the Bible how Jesus prayed from the cross, “Father, forgive them for they know not what they are doing.” I spoke the same prayer for my earthly father: Father, forgive him for he knows not what he is saying. He has no frame of reference for what has happened to me. He doesn’t understand and the only response he knows is anger. This choice I have made is out of his control. It would be Jesus who would teach me to love my father with a love that was honest and sincere. For to love when we are not loved or do not feel loved is only possible through divine power.
The depth of Christ’s forgiveness for me presses me to forgive my father. It forces me to wonder what evil was inflicted on him through his father and others. What abuses did he have to endure and what deep secrets had he suppressed? Out of his wounds he wounded others, even those he loved.

Called by God but Not Sure What to Do Next?
God uses systems. The sun comes up every day without the angels in heaven holding a special staff meeting to decide whether or not it should. Seeds that are planted in the ground and watered, grow, each after its own kind. Tomato seeds always produce tomatoes. Carrot seeds always produce carrots. God created everything and set it up to self-govern. Rain falls and crops grow. Sure, there could be seasons of drought, but rain eventually comes. If God uses systems, does it make sense that He also wants us to use systems?
The truth is, people who succeed, both Christian and non-Christian, put systems into place to get them where they want to go. Christians can use systems to ensure spiritual growth over time, perhaps by using a daily Bible reading plan or devotional guide to help them stay spiritually strong.

A new season begins in the Philippines 🇵🇭
Walter Godoy was commissioned as the new apostolic oversight for DOVE Philippines by Ron Myer, Merle Shenk, and Jeff Hoglen at our annual leadership gathering on March 12. We're thankful for the years that Jeff has spent leading DOVE Philippines and know that God's grace is on this transition.
Together with his wife, Ghen, Walter leads God’s Gift Missionaries International Church and serves local police through PMAC, bringing encouragement to those on the front lines.
We believe God is expanding the vision and strengthening what He has already built! Blessings to Walter and Ghen in this new season! ... See MoreSee Less

Behold, how good and pleasant it is when brothers dwell in unity! It is like the precious oil on the head, running down on the beard, on the beard of Aaron, (Ps 133:1-2)
There’s an old African proverb that has echoed through generations, carrying a profound and simple truth: “If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together.”
We live in a culture that often celebrates the lone wolf, the self-made individual who blazes a trail at lightning speed. It’s the “go fast, don’t die” mentality, a thrilling, high-stakes race against the clock. And for a short sprint, perhaps that works. You can make quick progress, unencumbered by the pace or opinions of others. But a life, a true journey of purpose and meaning, is not a sprint.
